The intention from the inception of
the Lord Jersey Research Trust was to build up a substantial fund prior to
any decisions being made regarding how and when the money would be used. It
is the responsibility of all Life Members and country members of the WJCB to
ensure that this fund grows much more than it has to date, to enable the
LJRT to perform the function for which it was set up and designed to fulfil
- and that is to act as a conduit for largely financing the operations of
the WJCB to ensure the long-term financial security of this very important
world body for the Jersey cow that we are so proud of.
Approaches have recently been made to involve the present Lord Jersey in the
work of the Trust, and it is hoped that his influence will take the Trust on
to a higher level.
