History
The World Jersey Cattle Bureau was founded on 21st October 1951 and is an association incorporated by the Royal Court of the Island of Jersey. Leading up to its formal incorporation, the first international conference was held in 1949 (link to 1st Conference 1949).

World Jersey is the trading name of the WJCB that was adopted in 2024, and continues to represent Jersey breeders all around the world.
An International Conference and tour is held every three years, and in the intervening years annual meetings and tours take place.
There are five world regions of World Jersey - Africa, Asia-Oceania, Europe, Latin America and North America - and each region has a dedicated Vice President. In addition to these five posts, there is a President, Secretary and Treasurer all duly elected every three years during International Conferences.
