​President: Alison Gibb (New Zealand)

​

​A former President of Jersey New Zealand and currently director of Link Livestock, a subsidiary company of JerseyNZ, Alison has been attending the World Jersey tours and conferences since 2008. In 2018 Alison became Treasurer of the World jersey Cattle Bureau followed by Vice President for Oceania in 2021, and then in 2024 at the International Conference in Denmark, was elected President. In 2023, Alison led a team of eight people from around the world to develop the strategy for the World Jersey Cattle Bureau with a view to modernizing the organization. This was formally adopted in Guatemala that same year. A passionate advocate for the Jersey breed, Alison and her husband Russell milk 300 Jersey cows in partnership with their daughter Natalie in Orini, Waikato, New Zealand.

Vice President for Africa: Dai Harvey (Zambia)

 

​David ‘Dai’ Harvey is a dairy and market development specialist with 30 years’ experience working across Africa. Dai's family has had Jerseys on the farm in Northern Zambia for over 100 years and he has encouraged the promotion of the Jersey breed globally but especially in undeserved markets across Africa. Dai provides technical expertise and management support to the RJA&HS Dairy for Development portfolio across the region.  Dai is still actively involved in his home farm in northern Zambia where his herd of Jerseys supplies the local district’s towns. While based in Zambia he was the chairperson of the Herdbook Society of Zambia and had great success breeding Dairy Championship-winning Jerseys.

Vice President for Asia-Oceania: Trevor Saunders (Australia)

​

Trevor is a past President of Jersey Australia, and has served on numerous national dairy boards as well as having held the position of Treasurer of World Jersey prior to his re-election as Vice President in 2024, having previously served two terms in that role.

 

On the home farm at Shady Creek, Victoria they milk up to 700 cows, and the herd is ranked in the top ten by breeding value in Australia. Every animal on the farm is genome tested, and at the last assessment, over 220 cows classified Excellent.

Vice President for Europe: Jurgen Kouwert (Germany)

​

A Dutch born farmer who emmigrated in 1995 to the eastern part of Germany in pursuit of fulfilling his dream of owning his own farm. Starting off with a mixed herd, the decision was made in 2014 for aiming at a 100% Jersey herd. Besides building a new free stall barn and starting an on farm dairy, the benefits of the Jersey breed were recognised in an early stage. Active in the German Jersey Cattle society for numerous years, and currently vice-president, he divides his spare time from his 250 cows farm between German, European and World Jersey matters.

Vice President for Latin America: Roberto Paez Muzzulini (Colombia)

 

Roberto Páez Muzzulini is a prominent leader in the Jersey cattle industry in Colombia and Latin America. As president of Asojersey Colombia, he has driven the development and promotion of the Jersey breed in the country, fostering sustainable breeding practices and improving the genetic quality of the livestock. Additionally, in his role as president of the Latin American Jersey Forum, he has worked to strengthen collaboration among breeders in the region, sharing knowledge and experiences for mutual benefit. His career as a Jersey breeder is marked by a constant commitment to excellence and innovation, making a significant contribution to the growth and recognition of the breed.

Vice President for North America: Alain Remond (Canada)

​

Alain emigrated to Canada in 1983 from France, and his first contact with someone passionate about the Jersey breed was when he had a summer student who was very excited by the breed, Benoit Guioullier.

 

Currently Alain sits on the board of Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island and is involved in many of the committees within the organization. Being bilingual has been a great asset during meetings with the other provinces.

 

Alain farms in Kensington, Prince Edward Island with his wife Janna, who is a past Jersey Canada president, and his daughter and son-in-law Deanna and Rob Doctor. Deanna currently is the director for Atlantic Canada on the Jersey Canada board.

Secretary: Olivier Bulot (France)

​

​Olivier is a director of the National Jersey association “Jersiaise France”. He became secretary of the World jersey Cattle Bureau in June 2024. Olivier attended World Jersey Conference for the first time in Canada in 2004 and developed a strong involvement in the breed promotion. 

​

Raised on a dairy farm, since 2022 he leads BGS organization that brings together Brown Swiss and Jersey breeds. He contributed with the enthusiastic team and the board of directors of Jersiaise France towards the rapid growth of the Jersey cow population in France, which has tripled in 10 years. In 2022, Jersiaise France hosted a successful annual meeting of World Jersey Cattle Bureau, with a highlight on the national show at SPACE and the great herds visits.

Treasurer: Steve Le Feuvre (Jersey Island)

​

Steve served as President of the World Jersey Cattle Bureau from 2018 to 2024, and is also a past President of the Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society (2008 to 2014). He served as Hon Treasurer of the Bureau from 2005 to 2018, and was re-elected to that position again in 2024.

 

Raised in Kenya, Steve graduated in Agricultural Economics from London University, but has pursued a career in law (Intellectual Property protection) since 1985. From childhood he has been passionate about the Jersey cow, and owns animals in Jersey and Australia. He provides breeding advice to the 230-cow Westlands herd, and is in his “happy place” when showing them at Island shows.

 

Steve has been attending World Jersey tours and conferences for well over 30 years, and has also been involved in Dairy for Development throughout  Africa over the past 20 years, through the RJA&HS’ Jersey cattle projects.
